About the artist:

My name is Marie Waltemode and in my artistic work, I bring urban societal structures, cultural elements, ethical and political questions from the 21st century together with personal emotions and experiences, expressing them into a universal, surreal and abstract form.

My ideas develop from an inner need of expressing my feelings and conflicts with the outside world. I want to invite the viewer through universal subtile forms to awake inner feelings and to reach out to a state of contemplation.
