Rosalie is currently studying at the Academy of fine Arts in Dresden. Working predominantly with oil paint and canvas, she chooses the human figure as her central theme. In her paintings she tries to explore ways of irritation through a combination of "realistically" painted figures creating forms of illusion and thereupon breaking up the illusion by adding new material components, such as charcoal or thread, creating a fading from a painted "object" into undefinable paint strokes or playing with distorted views created by objects in her motifs. Through this she wants to question our habitual ways of seeing and determining reality and tries to open up new possibilities of perception.
